APPENDIX B
PROGRAMMER OPERATION
Curtis programmers provide programming, diagnostic, and test capabilities for
the enAble
®
40 Powerchair Control System. The programmer plugs into the
5-pin connector on the user handcontrol; power is supplied by the powerbase.
Two programmers are available: the PC Programming Station (1314) and the
handheld programmer (1311). The Programming Station has features not
available on the handheld unit; on the other hand, the handheld programmer
has the advantage of being more portable. Typically the Programming Station
is used to set up the parameters initially and the handheld programmer is used
to made adjustments in the field.
Two versions of each programmer are available: the User programmers
can adjust only User-access parameters, whereas the OEM programmers can
adjust all the parameters.
